About Emmett Technique
How does it work?
The Emmett Technique was developed by Australian, Ross Emmett, more that 20 years ago. It is a light finger touch therapy used to ease pain and discomfort in the body with minimal intervention to the body, increasing range of movement, relaxing muscle and the surrounding tissue.
The Emmett Technique is an understanding of the body's response to light touch. It has been suggested that the body reacts in a similar way to the workings of a tough-screen. Small sensors allow access to the brain via the therapists' touch. As well as the ability to directly influence muscle action, these points may have a memory and emotional attachment.
The modality is practised in 30 different
countries around the globe.

What does an Emmett treatment involve?
Emmett Technique involves the application of light finger pressure at specific points, referred to as "Emmett Points".
The points are not the same as traditional trigger points, acupressure points, or any other points described in any other therapy or modality,
the pressure required to stimulate the Emmett points does not need to be firm or painful, the "no pain, no gain, saying has no place in Emmett Technique philosophy.
